LEO S. ROWE PAN AMERICAN FUND FOR UNDERGRADUATE INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS IN SOUTH CAROLINA
The Organization of American States, an international organization based in Washington, DC, offers interest-free loans to competent students from Latin American and Caribbean countries through the Leo S. Rowe Pan American Fund. These loans are designed to help students finance their final two years of undergraduate studies at accredited universities within the United States.

Eligible applicants must be a national of a Latin American or Caribbean member State of OAS. Applicants must also have a grade point average of 3.0 from their current or most recent academic institution, be accepted as a full-time student and plan to return to their country of origin after completion of their studies.

The maximum loan amount is $7,500 dollars per loan to a total of $15,000 during the course of the studies for which the loan was granted. All student loans must be underwritten by a guarantor - a US citizen or permanent resident. Repayment begins three months after the completion of the studies for which the loan was approved. Loan repayment is scheduled in not more than fifty equal monthly payments. Borrowers may pay their loans at an accelerated rate, increasing their monthly payments, or in a lump sum at any time.
